News 10 is reporting that three rape cases were reported to Baylor University on Monday.

KWTX said, "According to the university’s police log, the three campus sexual assault-rape cases were reported Monday. The first report came in at 9:25 a.m., the second at 9:31 a.m. and the third 9:35 a.m. Around 6 p.m., KWTX learned the victim reported the alleged crime through an online portal. When the university received the report, it sent it to police and they, in turn, sent it off to the Title IX office. A source close to the investigation said the two people involved know each other but, because of how it was reported, officials are still trying to actually identify the person who filed the complaint."

The three rapes occurred on Dec. 2, Jan 19 and on Jan. 20.

The Baylor Lariat, Baylor's student-run newspaper was the first to report on these new rape cases.

In an email to students, Baylor said, "You may be aware of a Lariat web article today regarding three allegations of rape at South Russell that were reported to have occurred between the same individuals. Please be assured that we have assessed the threat and addressed the situation according to our established policies and procedures. Title IX will continue to monitor the situation. We take these allegations very seriously, and our firm commitment to our students is to ensure the safety and security of our campus community. If you have any safety concerns, please contact your CL or hall director. As with all Title IX and student conduct allegations, the details surrounding any allegation are confidential, according to federal privacy laws."
