Last Thursday morning Bell County Sheriff's Officers were called to a report of shots fired near the east edge of Temple, Texas to discover two people had been wounded. The woman was transported to Baylor, Scott and White Hospital and treated for a non life threatening gun shot wound.

The man was later pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace Larry Wilkey some time after 10 AM on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as 42 year old Cody Kinslow.

Howard Lee Bailey, 47, of Huntsville is currently being held at the Bell County Jail on a $1.5 Million dollar bond. The Bell County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division is being assisted by the DPS Texas Rangers with this investigation.

Who is the woman that was also shot in this Temple, Texas investigation?

Her name has not been released at this time during the ongoing investigation. What we do know is the shooting occurred on the 9000 block of Little Flock Road just a little east of where it intersects with Texas Highway 53 at the east end of Temple's city limits.
