Looking back on 2016, we found several examples when the best part about living in Bell County was the people right here at home. Coach Rob is short for Coach Kye Robertson, a Varsity high school coach for Harker Heights baseball and also coaches on the football team. September 26, Kye was diagnosed with Myeloid Sarcoma/soft tissue leukemia – a form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia that requires a very aggressive form of chemotherapy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Taliq Davis this Christmas. Taliq was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and had the world rallying around him. Even Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors developed a relationship with him over the last couple years. Taliq passed away in September.
