Killeen police say a dispute turned violent Wednesday night, resulting in two people being shot.

Officers were called to Metroplex Hospital around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. There they interviewed two gunshot victims: an 18-year-old black woman and a 21-year-old black man, both residents of Killeen.

The victims told police they were shot while sitting in a vehicle in Long Branch Park. The shooters were reportedly in another vehicle, and investigators believe the violence may have been related to an ongoing dispute between the two parties.

The two victims were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple and later released. Their names have not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
