'Revenge of the Nerds' is easily one of the greatest comedies of all time. Released in 1984, the film follows a group of nerdy friends as they navigate the treacherous social waters of college. It's been almost 30 years since this classic film hit theaters, so let's take a look back at the cast of the film and see what they're up to now.

Then: Robert Carradine -- son of actor John Carradine and brother of actors Bruce, Keith and David -- played Lewis Skolnick, one of the film's main protagonists and nerds. Prior to 'Revenge of the Nerds,' Carradine starred in 'Mean Streets' and 'Orca.'

Now: Carradine appeared in the 2012 film 'Django Unchained' and hosts the reality competition show 'King of the Nerds' along with former 'Nerds' co-star Curtis Armstrong.

Now: Edwards is well-known for his role on the long-running TV drama 'ER,' and has appeared in films like 'Zodiac' and the upcoming animated flick 'Planes,' the latter of which is a nod to his role in 'Top Gun.'

Then: Timothy Busfield landed his first major role as Arnold, a violin-playing nerd in 'Revenge of the Nerds.' Busfield actually played the violin for the part.

Now: Busfield went on to find more success on television with roles in the dramas 'Thirtysomething,' 'The West Wing' and 'Sports Night.' In addition to acting, Busfield also directs, and has recently helmed episodes of 'Franklin and Bash' and 'Revolution.'

Then: Andrew Cassese made his acting debut as Harold Wormser, a brilliant 12-year-old kid whose parents usher him off to college.

Now: Cassese went on to reprise his role in 'Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise,' but left the movie biz in 1988 to perform in theater. He has a film degree from NYU's film school, and worked for Fox News for a few years. Cassese is also an accomplished guitarist and singer.

Curtis Armstrong, Dudley "Booger" Dawson

Then: Curtis Armstrong initially read for the part of Gilbert, and told his friend and fellow actor Bronson Pinchot that if he were asked to play the role of Booger, he wouldn't, saying, "I'm not picking my nose on camera for anyone." Booger became Armstrong's most famous role.

Now: Armstrong co-hosts the reality competition series 'King of the Nerds' with Robert Carradine. His film credits include appearances in 'Ray' and 'Smokin' Aces,' and he recently had a recurring role on the CW series 'Supernatural.'

Michelle Meyrink, Judy

20th Century Fox/Open Stage Studio

Then: Joan Cusack and Sarah Jessica Parker auditioned for the role of Judy, Gilbert's nerdy girlfriend, but the part went to Canadian actress Michelle Meyrink, who had previously starred in 'The Outsiders' and 'Valley Girl.'

Now: Meyrink went on to appear in 'Family Ties' and the Val Kilmer comedy 'Real Genius' before leaving acting in 1988. She pursued Zen Buddhism and appeared in a 2004 episode of the Canadian series 'Quiet Mind,' which focused on Meyrink's Buddhist practices. She now owns her own acting studio in Canada.

Ted McGinley, Stan Gable

20th Century Fox/AMC

Then: 'Happy Days' and 'Love Boat' star Ted McGinley played the film's main antagonist and frat boy jock, Stan Gable.

Now: McGinley starred in several seasons of the Fox satirical sitcom 'Married ... with Children,' and appeared on the most recent season of 'Mad Men' as Megan's swinging boss. His penchant for coming on to hit series towards the end of their runs earned McGinley something of a reputation as a show killer.

Julia Montgomery, Betty Childs

20th Century Fox/Splash News

Then: Julia Montgomery played Betty Childs, a cheerleader and Stan's girlfriend. Montgomery previously had a recurring role on the daytime soap 'One Life to Live.'

Now: Montgomery reprised the role of Betty in both 'Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation' and 'Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love.' She's also appeared on episodes of 'Full House' and 'Cheers.' She took a break from acting in 1994, but returned last year with a minor role in the film 'A Green Story.'

Lisa Welch, Suzy

Then: Playboy Playmate Lisa Welch played Suzy, one of Betty's friends and a fellow cheerleader.

John Goodman, Coach Harris

Then: John Goodman played Coach Harris, a nerd-hater and friend of the jocks who serves as one of the film's major antagonists.

Now: Goodman went on to star in the long-running landmark sitcom 'Roseanne,' and has recently appeared in the films 'Argo' and 'Monsters University.' He can be seen next in 'Inside Llewyn Davis,' which reunites him with Joel and Ethan Coen, who directed Goodman in 'O Brother, Where Art Thou,' 'Raising Arizona' and 'The Big Lebowski.'
