Temple, Texas’ Beloved Robinson Family Farm is On The Move
A family favorite location here in Temple, Texas is relocating. The Robinson Family Farm will be moving to a bigger location in time for the 2022 fall season.
Robinson Family Farm
Since the 1940's, the Robinson Family Farm had been at 3780 White Owl Lane in Temple. A beautiful location, but only accessible from a one-way road. During the pumpkin season, the farm would become a destination for family fun and picking out a pumpkin for Halloween.
People from across Central Texas would come out to the farm to spend the day picking out their pumpkins while enjoying the corn maze, corn cannons, archery, tractor train rides, bounce houses and so much more.
Bad Traffic
The problem was the congested traffic coming and going to the farm.
From first hand experience I can tell you that getting there and leaving could be a very frustrating game of "stop & go" traffic. Brian Robinson tells our partners at KWTX, “It wasn’t the experience we really desired for our customers. We never dreamt of getting as big as we did over there.”
I'm sure folks who lived out there were more frustrated that I was.
New Location
Here's the good news - the farm has relocated to a bigger location, and not only will they be ready by autumn of 2022, the new location is also more accessible.
The new location is about seven miles from the old location and is located at 2651 Bob White Road in Temple off FM 3117. It's almost double the size of the former location. Even better, there's a two-way street with a separate entrance and exit that should help the flow of traffic on those busy weekends.
New Attractions
The extra space has allowed for some fun and exciting new activities like pig races, a beer and wine garden, zip lining, and more. The Robinson family are hard at work getting things ready for the fall pumpkin season, so there will not be their annual Easter or Summer Sunflower Festivals this year.
On a personal note, I can't wait to see what the new farm has in store. Last Halloween was my first trip out there. Now with a bigger farm to work with, and new activities to enjoy, the family and I are going to have a blast picking out our pumpkins this year.
