Shooting at Killeen Convenience Store Leaves One in Hospital

News 10 is reporting that one man has gone to a local hospital following a shooting at a convenience store in Killeen.

Around 6:35 p.m. Thursday, police were originally called to the Family Dollar store at 4800 Westcliff Rd in Killeen. However, upon arrival, officers learned that the shooting took place next door at the Mickey’s convenience store at 4808 Westcliff Rd.

Police have not yet released the details of the shooting or who was involved, however, authorities did say that the victim was taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple and was treated for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

“Officers were told that the victim and another person were at the gas station when an unknown person discharged a weapon towards both of them. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction,” police said in a brief press release.

Police have not indicated that anyone was arrested and they have no further details at the moment.
