
Temple Fire Quickly Responds As Flame Made Gas Line Ignite
Temple, Texas had a fire break out a little after 8 PM last night at an abandoned nursing home on Industrial Boulevard that was burned so quickly it spread to nearby areas, and caused a gas line to become threatened. Temple Fire & Rescue responded, and immediately recognized the size of the fire was so great they were going to require assistance from many wonderful neighboring Texas communities with departments in Salado, Belton, Killeen, and Troy all responding beside additional first response departments in Temple like EMS and police.

Thankfully the initial fire was in a structure that has long been vacant, so it is not believed there were any casualties related to the blaze, however, the building measuring over 23,000 square feet on more than an acre and a half were a total loss.
Gas Line Threatened as Fire Spreads from Vacant Temple Building
According to this KCEN article, Atmos Energy remained on sight to make sure the burning gas line did not pose an additional threat, but at last reports it continued to burn, and remained to be monitored as the roads reopened following the massive response.
