Police in Temple are investigating a third shooting incident in the city in less than 24 hours.

Officers were dispatched to the Village at Meadowbend Apartments, 2787 Martin Luther King Junior Drive, around 9:15 PM. Upon arrival, they found a man with a gunshot injurity in the parking lot. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police did not release any further information or identify a suspect.

Another man was injured in a shooting that took place at Club Heavy, 806 East French Avenue, shortly before 1:40 AM Sunday. He was transported to Scott & White with serious injuries. Police did not release his identity.

About an hour later, police were dispatched to the 800 block of North Main Street in response to a call reporting shots fired. When they arrived, the discovered that a residence had been damaged by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Temple police are asking anyone who may have information that could prove helpful in identifying those responsible for these shootings to call them at (254) 298-5500.
