Local business in Central Texas will always be important. Not only is it a part of what makes Texas the state we all know and love, but it's pretty neat to see residents who start something new in our area.

Unfortunately, there will always be others who want to take advantage of those trying to make a living in the state. In Killeen, one business is now seeking answers and seeking help to as to why their store was robbed.

Owners of the shop George Apollo and John Bostic were saddened by the break-in. In comments to the news station, Bostic said "“I’m in total disbelief. Disbelief that people would do that to small businesses. That’s crippling to a small business like us."

Apollo lost not only business items, but his personal items as well. Apollo mentioned about the loss of personal items “That hurts the most. That is stuff that I invested money in, that I invested for my kids. It’s not for me, it’s for my kids when they grow up if they want to sell it.”

How We Can Help

There is one simple way for us Central Texans to help these two army veterans possibly re-obtain the items they lost. If you know anything about the robbery, please contact local law enforcement. A list of items taken was also provided by KWTX, in case any collectors spot the missing memorabilia.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
