If there is one thing you know about me immediately, it is I am a certified foodie. Will gladly accept any throwdown challenge outside of baking and bar-b-que. I know you are thinking how can you decline a bar-b-que challenge when you live in Temple, Texas?

I own zero smoking equipment, and with having 3 small children while just closing on a new house, it is financially not a good time to take on a new hobby. One day though, I promise. In the mean time, have mastered some really great pressure cooker dupes for smoking meat, and would love to share those with you sometime.

One of my favorite things about cooking is incorporating world flavors into regional dishes. Have you ever added hoisin sauce to your taco protein? It is life changing. In fact, I am obsessed with everything Asian influenced from Kewpie Mayonnaise to Five-Spice Powder.

That's why I was so excited to see a brand new organic Asian grocery is opening in downtown Temple next weekend. The name of the new business is Bon Bon Asian Market, and it will feature made from scratch and fresh food option. Locally grown produce will be available. You can even try out an assortment of Asian beer and wine like sake.

Where can you find Bon Bon Asian Market?

The address is 2 South Main Street, and the grocery is located on the first floor of the building that is also home to The Book Cellar according to this article from the Temple Daily Telegram. Hopefully you enjoy the new place as much as I will, just make sure you don't buy the last of the Kewpie.
