If you were planning to attend the Central Texas Air Show at Draughon-Miller Airport in Temple Friday evening, we've got some bad news.

Ellen Morton, our friend at the City of Temple, informed us minutes ago that tonight's activities have been cancelled due to the potential for stormy weather. It's a bummer, but air show organizers are obviously looking out for the safety of the pilots and the audience.

Activities should go on as planned Saturday, though. Our partners at News 10 say the likelihood of rain tomorrow is only about 20%, and Central Texas should be mostly dry around 9 AM.

That's good timing, as gates open at 10 AM Saturday to give people time to look around at the static displays before the shows take flight at 1 PM.

It's sad to see one of our favorite local events have to skip a night, but better safe than sorry. And Saturday should be sunny and warm with great conditions for taking in the show.

Stay dry out there, Central Texas!
