Yum! 5th Annual Food Truck Fest in Copperas Cove, TX June 11th

Great news, foodies! The 5th annual Copperas Cove Food Truck Festival is Saturday, June 11th in Copperas Cove, Texas. The fun begins at 5 p.m. in Copperas Cove City Park at 1206 W Avenue B. Around 24 food trucks are participating, according to Ashley Wilson, Copperas Cove’s Special Events Coordinator.

Favorites that will be returning include Sticky Fingas BBQ, Delectable Delights, Kona Ice, Pizza PieRos, Big Dog BBQ, Gringos Locos Tacos, Funnel Cake Fantasies, and La Palapa.

New Central Texas Food Trucks

New additions to the festival will include Caribbean Flava Ice, Happy Plates, Papa Bear Kettle, Dave’s Burger Barn, Cupcake Avenue, Mix’T Caribbean Blends, Cousins Maine Lobster, Candy’s Porch, Stir Soda Shoppe, Mimi’s Mini Donuts, and Blessed Hands Caribbean.

Prizes at Copperas Cove Food Truck Festival

Food trucks will be competing against each other for prizes, including a grand prize of $500. The People’s Choice category will be available again this year.

New award categories include Best BBQ ($250), Best Taco/Mexican ($250), Best Signature Dish ($250), and Best Dessert ($250), according to the Copperas Cove Leader-Press.

Activities, Kids Zone, and Live Music

There will be plenty of fun stuff for the kids at the festival, including bounce houses, a petting zoo with pony rides, face painting, and balloon animals. The adults won't get left out, as beer and wine tents will be available, provided by Parks and Recreation, Camp Caylor, and Stir Soda Shoppe.

An adult kickball tournament will be held during the festival as well. Live music starts at 7:30 from Gatesville's Lonestar Ramblers, who will be performing until 9:30 p.m.

Admission is $1 per person for walk-ins and $5 per carload. Volunteers are still needed. For more info, contact Ashley Wilson at awilson@copperascovetx.gov.
