A man believed to be involved in break-in at a Temple shooting range that resulted in several weapons being stolen is now in police custody.

The Temple Police Department announced Monday morning that 18-year-old Esteban Allan Aguilar was arrested by the Terry County Sheriff's Office on Friday, May 15.

Aguilar was the only named suspect in the April 5, 2020 burglary of Hawkeye Shooting Academy, 119 N. 19th Street. Investigators say he is one of at least three people who broke into the shooting range and stole 30 firearms. The other suspects were described as slim males of approximately 18 years of age.

On May 7, Tempe PD and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced that a reward of up to $5,000 was being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects in this case. (Police did not say if Aguilar's arrest was the result of a tip.)

Police released several surveillance stills from the break-in. You can see them below.

If you have any information that could be helpful to investigators, Temple PD and ATF ask that you call 1-888-ATF-TIPS or email ATFTips@atf.gov through ATF’s website, atf.gov/contact/atftips.
