With the return of fall for another year comes one of the best annual events: Ribs & Rods - to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Camping is even available without hookups at Ben o' The River. Last year's event raised enough money to donate $15,000 to the local chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
What makes Ribs and Rods such a great family fall event?
It is a really cool (not just the cars, but also the temperature) way to get the family out, and doing an activity together. A Saturday spent on an outing usually pays big dividends when it comes to an early bedtime.
Personally, I always go for the food, but the kids are always there to see the cars. It's a daring trade off to let them go hungry to see the cars first, but one thing all classic car owners dislike is getting food on their hot rod.
No matter your reason to attend, it is always nice to support the community. A hospital is one place no kid should ever have to stay, but thanks to events like this and RMHC, they are there when a family needs them most.
