Is Long John Silver’s In Temple, Texas Reopening Now Official?
Word is traveling the internet that the Long John Silver's on 31st Street in Temple, Texas will be reopening almost exactly 2 years from the date it was a total loss in a Monday evening fire on October 11th, 2021. Temple Fire and Rescue had to shut down 31st Street between Azalea and Market Loop to battle the blaze that thankfully occurred free of any injury to staff or patrons.
You might recall that the location remained empty for a very long time as faithful customers awaited news of revival, and potential developers longed for the premium real-estate to become available. Finally, news came after almost 6 months that Long John Silver's would sail again with a completely new structure.
When will the new Long John Silver's be open to the public?
Well, if sources are correct, the newly rebuilt facility will be having a grand reopening, and bring a bounty of deliciousness to the public again on Monday, October 16th, just over 2 years since the previous restaurant was destroyed.
The corporate Long John Silver's website shows that there are lots of job openings still waiting to be filled from General Manager to Shift Managers and Team Members. All of this news is fantastic for fish lovers in Central Texas as many feared their beloved eatery would not longer exist.
Many remember when the Long John Silver's in North Temple became Dutch Bros., and that possibility for something similar to happen to the 31st. Street location was in the back of many minds.
