Waco, Texas authorities we able to secure the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to identify and apprehend an elderly bank robbery suspect that had been at large for over a week. According to this KCEN article, on Saturday morning February 8th, just before most local bank branches close at noon, a man walked into a bank located on the 800 block of Hewitt Drive fully covered in a sweatsuit and mask and robbed the branch at gunpoint.

Elderly Texas Bank Robbery Suspect Now In Jail

Waco Police received a 911 call about the robbery around 11:25 that Saturday morning, and they did not have much to go on outside of believing the suspect was driving a white Toyota Tundra truck. Thanks to the FBI's involvement, they were able to identify 74 year old Tony Nichols after they connected him to the suspected vehicle.

According to this KCEN article, the bank that was robbed was on the 800 block of Hewitt Drive in Waco, Texas, and after doing some investigating of my own, it is most likely the branch that was robbed was this Midway Chase Bank location pictured above.

Nichols has now been booked into McLennan County jail on one count of Felony Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. According to this different KCEN article, bond has not yet been set for Nichols.
